Emile Verhaeren - Sint-Amands

Last Friday, I enjoyed a walk concerning a poet "Emile Verhaeren" in a small village named Sint-Amands. You can also read about it on my friends' page: http://buron51.fotopages.com/?entry=539558 and http://transporter.fotopages.com/?entry=529367
Important detail: these are my first digital pictures on fotopages and... I did NOT do any trick with fotoshop, the pictures are exactly the same as I took them...

Everywhere in Europe they're working at the roads: in Stekene, the village where I live, in Antwerp, the town where I work is not one street without deviations, and even in Paris, in front of our hotel they were installing a new tramway... Very nice when they start to work at 6 in the morning...

Paris - at 230 km/h
|
|
For the trip to Paris, we used the train named Thalys. It is a very fast train, going at a maximum speed of 230 km/h. You don't feel the speed, but you see it when you're driving along a highway where the lorries are "standing" at 90 km/h.
For the first time in my life, I drunk a beer at the speed of 230 km/h, and it still tasted well...

Paris Plage

From 21 July till 22 August one can enjoy Paris Plage, a beach in the center of Paris at the riverside of the Seine. There is salsa, adventure for the children, enjoying the sun... I was there the very first day
