Last Sunday, I made a ride with my bicycle in Stekene (yes, I know it is November, but there are still "biking temperatures"...)

minimalisme (2)

See also yesterday's entry. I've already made my choice, but please tell me which one you prefer.

And here are my entries in the fotoclub for "minimalistic landscape": as few information on your picture as possible and still showing a landscape. Please give me your comments.

Holiday challenge - look at a building
|
|
The holiday challenge from our fotoclub Visie was to take a series of pictures from one building. The purpose is that the viewer gets to know the building.
This evening, I'll show my pictures, but you get a preview here.
This is a small chapel in a forgotten village - Bure - where I used to spend a lot of my childhood. Have also a look at http://pvdeyden.fotopages.com/?entry=503089 and http://pvdeyden.fotopages.com/?entry=503092 and even http://pvdeyden.fotopages.com/?entry=439794 .
This chapel is still the same as I remember it 30 years ago. In these pictures, I want you to take a walk with me, coming closer to the chapel, walking around it, now we go inside and then we'll turn back. The last pictures are the view outside of it. I wanted to give a special impression by mixing B&W-pictures with colour pictures. Please note that there is not one digital picture!
It is not an impressive building, but it has already been there for 50 years or more, people believe in it, and I think that if I'll come back there in 20 years, that nothing will have changed...
When I was there last summer, I had to wait a while before taking pictures, because the local people were praying in "their" chapel...
Come and join me... back into time (or history?).................

Congo - African statue
|
|
One of my colleagues went to here home in Congo, last summer. As a souvenir, she gave me this African statue. It represents an African women, calling all the habitants of the town together for a reunion...
I tried to give the atmosphere in my Belgian garden...
RE Ronald: be patient and one day... you'll see Jessie on my fotopages..
